This is so surreal to me right now.

I’m up in my office planning out my week and downstairs my new house cleaning crew is at work. I honestly don’t know what to do with myself. I’ve never hired someone to clean my house.

Only a couple years ago I was cleaning houses as a side job while I was trying to run my health and fitness business. The idea of hiring someone to help me out felt like such a luxury. It’s something I would joke about from time to time but never really considered.

And now here I am with not just one, but two amazing women scrubbing away while I get to write articles and plan out my coaching calls for the week.

It had never crossed my mind that one of the benefits of starting my own business was that I would get to support others financially as well. From buying products and goods from artisans and local businesses I believe in, to hiring my virtual assistant, to supporting my new house cleaners, to offering my husband the option to leave his 9-5 so that he can focus on taking his music career to the next level (and become my business manager) without worrying about the finances.

I was laying in bed last night and realized that I don’t know anyone in-person who has a successful online business and is making 10K-20K+ a month. This isn’t to brag, this is to say “No wonder our natural path in life is to stay where we are, it’s all we know!” If I hadn’t immersed myself in a virtual community where living a freedom based lifestyle and earning the money we desire is the ‘norm’, I doubt I could have ever made the shift. Or at the very least it would have taken a lot longer.

Because if we keep living the same life then we’ll keep getting the same results. And I’m guessing you’re here because there’s something more you desire. Which means it’s time to make some changes. To create some new habits. To immerse yourself in a community that supports you 110%.

And these new habits, leaning into our desires, stepping outside of our comfort zones DON’T FEEL EASY IN THE BEGINNING. They’re not suppose to. We’re literally changing the pathways that our neurons, cells and energy of our bodies has traveled down for the last who knows how many years.

When you lean into a new life you are literally carving out new channels in your body. How does it feel when you start a new exercise regimen? This is the SAME thing. When you first start working out it can be a little frustrating to not feel as strong or run as far as you want to. You can either give up and head back to the couch, or you can push through and allow the exercise to become easier, staying focused on why you’re doing it.

It is EXACTLY the same when you are leaning into a wealthier life and becoming unavailable for anything except the lifestyle you desire. Sending out your first newsletter feels uncomfortable. You’re afraid of what people will think of you. Making yourself visible feels uncomfortable at first, who do you think you are anyway? Creating prices that match the level of your service can trigger some serious feelings of ‘not good enough’. And hiring a team, a personal assistant, a house cleaner…do you think you’re the queen of the world?

Well actually yes, yes you are. You’re the queen of YOUR world. And just like exercise, once you start working out these new muscles it’s going to feel good.

You’re going to get addicted! You’re going to want to send out more newsletters and create even better content for your audience. You’re going to stand in your truth and become truly visible both in social media, live calls and maybe even published in your favorite magazine or online media. People will see you, they’ll feel your expansion and want more of that in their lives too. New clients will seek you out rather than the other way around.

And you’re going to LOVE having a team. Just like that workout that you thought would be so difficult, you’ll suddenly realize it wasn’t that hard after all to delegate and what a great investment of funds it really is.

I often hear one of my lovely mentors, Gina DeVee, say that whenever she’s doing a task she asks herself “Who else could be doing this?” There’s some tasks in our business that we really must do ourselves. And these are the tasks I actually LOVE to do. Coaching calls, chatting with potential clients, writing my newsletters, interacting with everyone on social media. These are tasks that I couldn’t and wouldn’t delegate to anyone else. But there’s opportunity to delegate just about everything else to meet the freedom in time and efficiency in business that I desire.

You get to choose. Who else could be doing this? What would it cost? (because we often think it’s going to be more than it really is) Is it worth your freedom? I bet the answer is yes.

You are being called on to expand.

You are being called on to stretch, to reach and to grow. We’re not meant to stay in the same space throughout our lives. Expansion is a natural part, an inherent part of BEING ALIVE.

I often walk by the vines that grow up our deck and the side of our house and they remind me how important expansion is. Those vines are always growing bigger, reaching out to more areas. It means they’re healthy and THRIVING.

You’re meant to do the same.
