Hi All!

Today I’m writing about something that I’ve been noticing is slowly but surely taking over my life. Technology!

I love social media, reading articles, pinning on pinterest, it can all be down right addicting.  We have gotten so use to turning to our smart phones, the tv, or our laptops for entertainment that conversations with each other (in person) have to be at an all time low.

We’re more connected then ever but at the same time I think many feel more alone. We no longer have any idea how to just sit and be still without something in front of us keeping our attention.

That’s why I’m starting ‘Technology Free Tuesdays’. I’m going to spend the entire day without my usual technology crutches. After I check my emails first thing in the morning, it won’t be happening again until that evening. There will be no social media breaks throughout the day and if I’m sitting in a waiting room or have some down time I’ll either just sit or I’ll pick up a book (gasp).

I welcome you to join me on these ‘Technology Free Tuesdays’ as well. You might actually find that you’ve been spending more time staring at your smart phone than your significant other. I definitely understand that you need to check your phone now and then for important phone calls and I often like to watch a good movie in the evenings. But I’ve noticed that the creative juices that help me write and create awesome material for my business are often killed by the internet. I get online to research a new topic and go from slightly inspired to overwhelmed pretty quickly. And this then often leads to either feeling like ‘There’s too much info out there on the subject already so who needs my take’ or ‘There’s nothing about this out here so no one’s probably interested’. Like I said, creativity killer.

So I’m taking a day and reconnecting with myself and what I’m here to say. All the best my fellow Life Adventurers and I’ll see you back on my Facebook page on Wednesday.
