Soo…I’m in Vegas. Yep, two days ago when I’d wrapped up my coaching calls my husband said “have you packed for Vegas yet?” — we did not have a trip planned and he was totally kidding but it gave me a jolt of ‘YES let’s go!’ that I couldn’t deny.

So I didn’t. We packed our bags and started the 10 hour drive, stopping in Utah for a night and I’m sure we’ll head on to LA next without any specific return date.

Why am I telling you this? Because how awesome is it that these freedom based businesses let us pack up and go at any moment?? The cold cloudy weather in Colorado last week was draining my energy and inspiration and I just kept trying to push through it.

I’d forgotten one of the most overlooked biz tricks that gets me results every time: If you’re not inspired change your location to somewhere you are inspired!

This is part of the reason destination intensives are so powerful, they get you into an inspired space where new ideas and guidance can flood in. But even just moving your work space for the day to the lobby or lounge of a beautiful hotel can do the trick.

And if this story makes you feel an “I want to do that!” it’s because this freedom is meant for you too. Freedom and inspiration isn’t a luxury in my business, it’s a necessity. It’s exactly what I need to thrive in my life and it’s exactly what I desire to help you create for yourself as well.

And next time you find yourself feeling totally uninspired in your business, pushing through the to-do’s on your list like they’re heavy lifting — get yourself into a new space! Even if it’s just the swanky coffee shop or hotel lobby down the street.

When everything starts to feel more like a should and less like that fun inspired business you’ve been dreaming of running you know you’re in an energetic rut. And by physically leaving the energy of that draining spot behind you’ll get out of any sense of blah in your biz and get back to feeling lit up and excited.
