hotelHaving been on the road about a week, I’ve had the opportunity to stay in several hotels so far along the way. I had flashbacks to the past where I would always look for the cheapest yet cleanest hotel that would allow me to get a good nights rest but wasn’t anything to write home about.

This trip has been a little different. I’ve found myself willing to pay more for a hotel that has that ‘certain something’. I’ve noticed that when I’m surrounded by a sense of comfort, when I feel supported, that I do better work, attract more clients and just feel more joyous.

In the past I never would have thought there was a connection between what I invested in myself and what I got back from the world. I was always searching for the best deal, the sale, trying to get my ‘moneys worth’.

But it’s so satisfying to show up to your lodging after a long day and immediately be taken care of. To have someone park your car, take care of your luggage, and lead you right up to your room.

To get to your room and feel like you can take a deep breath. There’s an over sized bed, filtered water with a glass pitcher and glasses (no plastic cups and chlorine water out of the sink), a desk with great wi-fi and a bathroom with lots of counter space.

These are the details and extras that I’m happy to pay double for to feel at peace, get a good nights rest and work with ease. And it’s these kind of details that your ideal clients will also pay double for with high-level offerings.

How can your programs and services support your clients in the same VIP way that a luxury hotel would?

  • Easily giving them all the information they need so that they don’t have to search your website for it?
  • Taking the time to set up the details that make the payment and appointment scheduling process simple?
  • Dressing up your site with beautiful details and photos that resonates with the level of clients you desire?

No one wants to stay at a hotel that looks like it’s been there for years without any love. And the same goes for your online presence. Make your website clean, concise, professional and easy to get around.

What kind of details do you love to indulge in and how can you offer these to your clients?

  • Is it extra attention and support through email access or a private Facebook group you’ve created for them?
  • Or maybe it’s putting a little extra love into the free opt-in offer or workbook you’ve designed for your audience so that it feels top of the line.

How you support your clients is completely up to you. Are you a boutique style hotel or a large resort? Will your clients enjoy a completely unique experience or is it more about the overall luxury and results your provide?

Either way, by taking a few pointers from some of the top hotels and resorts and bringing them into your offerings, you’ll be able to charge and have clients happily pay the prices that match.
