Holy Moly! Who would have guessed that one of the number one ways we prevent ourselves from receiving wealth is because We’re Afraid of Being Rich!

I had no idea this fear even existed until I started to gain a little traction in my business. And a lovely fellow entrepreneur brought it to my attention again yesterday, making me realize that I’m not alone here and seriously need to write an article on this.

I’m sure some of you are scoffing right now. Really? You’re afraid of being rich?? Are you crazy?

But stick with me here. Have you ever thought about what life will be like when you’re bringing in 10K-20K every month?

You might see vacations and luxury shopping sprees, but dig a little deeper. That’s where those little fears lie and they’re standing their blocking the financial abundance that wants to flow into your life.

Here’s some common lines us women hear these little monsters say:

• “If you’re rich your friends will think you’re stuck up and won’t want to spend time with you anymore.”
• “If you’re rich everyone will expect you to pay the bill whenever you go to dinner, movies, etc. and it will get annoying.”
• “If you’re rich your husband’s going to resent you for earning more and it’s going to break up the marriage.”

On and on and on.

So how do you break through these blocks? Well they’re just like a little kid pulling on your pant leg trying to get your attention. So give it to them! Don’t dwell on it, but recognize this fear.

Annoying, I know…but it’s true. So sit down and make a list of every one of these fears that comes up with the thought of being wealthy.

See the fear, even feel it, and then use a trick I learned from ‘Get Rich Lucky Bitch’ author Denise Duffield-Thomas: “I forgive you. I’m sorry. Thank you.”

I usually add in a one liner about releasing or letting go as well.

This is usually enough to get rid of most of these blocks. However, if you’re still feeling a little tension try EFT and tap those fears right out of your body.

These feelings are completely normal and come up for every woman as she’s up leveling her life and business. And if you take the time to recognize them and let them go, you will continue to rise to the next level free and clear of past memories and fears.
